FAQs
How do I know if hypnosis is right for me?
Do your homework. There is a lot of information out there on the internet, some will give credibility to hypnosis and some will not. This is outside the box of regular treatment for many issues and it's often thinking differently that gets us results. Ensure that the practitioner is properly trained and certified to do hypnosis. The key is to find someone you can trust and are comfortable with and that's why I do a free discovery call via zoom.
Will I be aware of what is going on in a session?
You will absolutely be aware of everything that is said. No one can make you do anything that you do not wish to do. We ensure that the client is safe and comfortable.
I've never tried hypnosis before what can I expect?
You can expect to become very relaxed during a session. I take a client through breathing techniques and visual imagery to help them relax and tell them they are going deep into their subconscious awareness. It's very effective and easy to do and everyone can reach this state. I then guide them to bring in scenes from the past, which could be from childhood or into adulthood. We then explore the feelings and help the client to reframe the beliefs that came out of the emotions triggered. If we truly think about it, our basis of beliefs are formed when we are just children with no experience to draw upon. Our goal is to view it as an adult and change incorrect beliefs formed as a child.
You need to be open with this to explore the feelings we have associated with past experiences that have formed our template (beliefs) of how we view the world and all of our experiences within it. You really need to be invested in the session, and after the session listen to an audio from the session for three weeks after. Learn to be aware of how you are thinking and feeling to reframe that which is not serving you.
