So many times it takes someone to hit the ground hard before they start to change how they think, how they feel, what they believe and ultimately their lives.
I was no exception to that scenario. I suffered from burnout twice in my corporate career, because I was too stubborn to admit it wasn't working for me. The first time it occurred was when I got into management and the second time I suffered burnout was during COVID. As a manager of a buying team for a large retailer I was feeling immense pressure and that pressure escalated when the supply chain literally crumbled during the pandemic.
My health and my body suffered.
I was an insomniac, even though I took Lorazepam for my nerves to help me sleep. I was also taking an HRT for menopause which hit me hard with a deluge of hot flashes throughout each night. Sleep was something I used to be able to do and I felt lucky if I got two hours each night. I grew to be intolerant to dairy, and anything with gluten, along with many of the fruits and vegetables that I enjoyed eating. I was basically eating rice or rice based products, chicken and fish. On top of all that, I gained about 40lbs, which lead to aching joints, and as my activity plummeted, my stress grew and my confidence crumbled. I fell into a depression.
I knew I needed to find an alternative when the drugs I had been taking didn't help after three months.
I started to look for alternatives.
I found them through reading, listening to YouTube and thinking outside the box. That's when I discovered meditation, homeopathic practitioners, BIE and ultimately Marisa Peer. I quit corporate life and learned how to do her multiple award winning method of hypnosis and after a year of study, I graduated with over 90% and earned my designation as a Certified Hypnotherapist, with a Certification in Rapid Transformational Therapy and a designation as a Rapid Transformational Therapy Practitioner.
What benefits have I received from all this?
My confidence has soared.
I have my own business helping others.
My weight has returned to a much healthier level and I am much more active.
